Bogd Khan Uul

A protected mountain on Ulaanbaatar's southern edge, one of the world's oldest nature reserves.

Protected since the 18th century, Bogd Khan mountain has larch forest, wildflowers and good day hikes, including the climb to the summit from the Manzushir monastery ruins on the south side.
