Zaisan Memorial

A hilltop Soviet-era memorial with the best panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar.

Climb the steps to the circular mosaic memorial for the city view, the Tuul river and the Bogd Khan mountain behind. It is best at sunset; the area around has cafés and a shopping centre.
