Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake & Khorgo Volcano

A freshwater lake formed by lava flows, next to an extinct volcano you can climb in an hour.

Terkhiin Tsagaan ('White Lake') is a highlight of the Khangai mountains, with camps on the shore, fishing and horse riding. Nearby Khorgo, an extinct volcano, has an easy path to the crater rim with views over black lava fields.
