Baga Gazriin Chuluu

A cluster of granite rock formations in the steppe with hidden springs and old monastery ruins.

Strange granite towers and boulders rise from the grassland about halfway between Ulaanbaatar and the Gobi. Short hikes lead to a small monastery ruin, rock paintings and a cave once used by a hermit monk.
