Khuvsgul Lake & reindeer herders
Khuvsgul is a deep, clear lake in the forested north, near the Russian border. Tours combine it with horse rides along the shore and, on longer trips, a ride into the taiga to meet the Tsaatan reindeer herders. The lake freezes solid in winter, when the Ice Festival is held.
